Beyoncé Knowles

Beyoncé Knowles found her voice as the star of Destiny's Child, which was shaped by her manager father Mathew and stylist mother Tina. After the group garnered nationwide attention with the departure of three members, DC turned into a hit-making, Grammy-toting trio that became one of the biggest girl groups in music history.

In 2003, Beyoncé parted from the girls (temporarily) to release her debut album, Dangerously in Love, which earned her five Grammys. In 2006, she followed up with B'Day, which she later re-released in Spanish, collaborating with Latin pop star Shakira.

The multi-talented beauty has since graced the cover of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue, expanded her resume as a designer and dazzled as an actress in the movie-musical Dreamgirls.

Beyoncé married hip hop mogul Jay-Z in 2008 and welcomed daughter Blue Ivy Carter in 2012 – the same year she was named PEOPLE's World's Most Beautiful Woman.
