Ben Affleck

There are three keys to Ben Affleck's fame: solid acting skills, boy-next-door good looks, and a series of high-profile romances with Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner.

A professional actor since age 12, Affleck jumped onto Hollywood's A-List in 1997 with Boston boyhood pal Matt Damon and their Oscar-winning film, Good Will Hunting. But much of Affleck's staying power since then can be pinned on his love life. First there was his relationship with Paltrow in 1998, then came "Bennifer," his obsessively documented engagement to Lopez in 2002 that produced the box office bomb, Gigli.

But things turned around in 2005, when on a much quieter note, Affleck married actress Garner, with whom he has three children.
